Africa Internet Group rebrands to Jumia

After 4 years of establishing and growing its online services, Africa Internet Group has now rebranded to Jumia, a move aimed at giving access to products and services from its leading platforms in one place.

With a new vision labelled “expand your horizons”, customers can now access respective products and services under one name (Jumia) where Jovago – online hotel booking platform now rebrands to Jumia Travel, while food delivery company, HelloFood will become Jumia Food.

In addition, Kaymu, which serves as a community market place has rebranded to Jumia Market. Real estate Lamudi becomes Jumia House, while the company’s logistics services AIG X takes new identity as Jumia Services. “We want to make it as easy as possible for people,” says Joe Falter, CEO Jumia Food. “Customers will be able to use one account to navigate all those services and products addressing the question, what do customers want?”

Operating under the same brand name reinforces the legitimacy of proposing other services to their customers and to sellers, with the main focus being to have one strong brand that is trusted and loved.
