Super petrol, diesel, and kerosene prices have gone up by Sh8.99, Sh8.67, and Sh9.65 per litre respectively, in the latest Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) review announced on Monday, July 14.
In Nairobi, the latest fuel price review sets the cost of super petrol at Ksh 186.31 per litre, diesel at Sh171.58 per litre, and kerosene at Sh156.58 per litre, reflecting the current adjustments by EPRA.
In Mombasa, super petrol, diesel, and kerosene now retail at Sh183.02, Sh168.30, and Sh153.29 respectively, effective from midnight for the next 30 days.
In Kisumu, the revised pump prices will see super petrol retail at Ksh 186.15 per litre, diesel at Sh171.78, and kerosene at Sh156.83.
“The prices are inclusive of the 16% Value Added Tax (VAT) in line with the provisions of the Finance Act 2023, the Tax Laws (Amendment) Act 2024, and the revised rates for excise duty adjusted for inflation as per Legal Notice No. 194 of 2020,” read part of the statement released by EPRA.
“The average landed cost of imported super petrol increased by 6.45% from US$590.24 per cubic metre in May 2025 to US$628.30 per cubic metre in June 2025; diesel increased by 6.27% from US$580.23 to US$616.59, while kerosene rose by 6.95% from US$569.00 to US$608.54 per cubic metre over the same period,” said EPRA Director-General Daniel Bargoria.
The recent increase in landed costs mirrors the ongoing global oil price surge over the past two months, largely attributed to geopolitical tensions and coordinated production cuts by major exporting countries.
