Kenyans working abroad will be able to link up their retirement savings with the National Social Security Fund by 2017 and in so doing, have a safety net when they return home. Nigeria has launched a pilot electronic identifica­tion card linked with an electronic payment utility. Carey Eaton, a leading Kenyan businessman steering various e-commerce portals, died last month aged 41. Eaton was shot dead during a robbery in Loresho, Nairobi, as the wave of crime in the country rises. He succumbed to head injuries while being treated.
