MOBILE BANKING WELCOME

A lot has been said about mobile banking and mobile money transfer services and I thank Equity Bank for entering this market. I hope more banks can start offering such services to break the monopoly being enjoyed by mobile service providers. I believe with many players transaction costs might also come down. To imagine that the cost we incur in sending Sh100 to another subscriber is the same to that of sending Sh 1000 is weird, and doesn’t just add up. Transfers of Sh100 should be free. It is high time we got many players. – Tito M, Nairobi
