A blockchain gaming platform, Zone has hit over 10 million play minutes since its global launch nine months ago becoming one of the fastest-growing platforms in Africa, Europe, Asia, and South America.
The play-to-earn crypto-gaming platform that debuted in Kenya a month ago has also had 30 million total games played on its platform with 16 million total transactions in crypto.

At the same time, the maximum reward in a single game has been about Sh 45,999 ($332) to the winning player.

“Since we launched Zone globally and in Kenya, we have seen a surge in gamers playing our games more often because of the play-to-earn model that is completely different compared to other platforms. Our game designs are also top-notch for those playing from their smartphones, tablets, or laptops. They are not only fun and entertaining but also mind-challenging. All of these factors combined led to the huge traction on play minutes achieved on Zone,” said Avhit Bij, Zone country representative.

Speaking during a recent Movie Jabber Play event at Sarit, Mr. Bij announced that the company will be unveiling more new games under its play-to-earn model in Q2 including Ludo, Chess, Solitare, and more, adding that the most favourite games played on the platform include Knife dart, Merge Mania, Hoop Star, Escape Run, and Carrom.

Zone allows players to earn cryptocurrency rewards for their gaming skills, opening up a “new world of possibilities” for players to monetize their passion for gaming. Targeting e-sport and casual gamers with consoles and internet-enabled devices such as laptops and smartphones, it is said to be the first “gamefi ecosystem” on the Algorand blockchain that combines on-chain gaming challenges, yield farming, and NFTs to create a free-to-play and play-to-earn ecosystem.

To sign up and create a wallet, gamers can should visit Zone platform and click on the “sign in” button on the top right. All one needs to do thereafter is to click on “sign up with email” and complete OTP verification to automatically receive a wallet address, which you can use to play and earn. As a user, you will always be in control of the funds in your created wallet and can choose to withdraw your earnings at any time.
