KDK Company Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Panasonic Eco Solutions Division, Japan, has launched its latest range of ventilation equipment targeting the current thriving property market, to provide modern, efficient, effective ventilation engineering system solutions and products.

With the heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems market in Africa set to cross $800 billion by 2022, the demand for indoor air quality improvement systems is expected to grow further. It is against this backdrop that the manufacturers of high-performance ventilation fan products, KDK, is well positioned to get a pie of the market thanks to a 107 year history, having been established as an electric fan company under the name “Kawakita Denki Kigyosha” (KDK) in Japan in 1909.

Their range covers fans in both axial and centrifugal designs, in-line cabinet fans, ceiling mounted ducted fans, high-pressure wall mounted industrial exhaust fans, and wall and glass mounted extract fans. All of these products are aimed at improving internal home air quality by meeting the ventilation needs of the domestic, industrial and light commercial projects.

In addition, the KDK thrives on ceiling fans – remote and wall regulator controlled, table and pedestal fans, wall and ceiling mounted orbital fans meeting the air circulation needs of the home.

Hiroo Ikeda, General Manager, Middle East and Africa Marketing Department of KDK says: “The rapid growth of the real estate and construction industry in recent times has resulted in increased use of chemicals and rising focus on improvement of indoor air quality of buildings… We are committed to improving air quality with energy efficient ventilation systems that integrate our long experience and state of the art technology.”

Mr Ikedo also said that the partnership of KDK along with Hotpoint Appliances Limited is a perfect fit aimed at providing modern, efficiently costing, effective ventilation engineering system solutions and products to projects in Kenya.
