Kenya Breweries Limited, a key component within the region’s leading beverage business, has announced an opportunity for specialized recycling partners.
The company, which is a subsidiary of EABL, is seeking expressions of interest from qualified and licensed scrap metal dealers for a significant disposal project.
The initiative focuses on clearing out a collection of obsolete and unserviceable assets that have reached the end of their operational life within its inventory.
The items identified for disposal represent a wide array of decommissioned industrial equipment. This includes large-scale fixtures like fermenting vessels and steel water tanks, alongside specialized machinery such as electric bottle inspectors, a lathe machine, and hoisting equipment.
Other articles range from transformers and electrical distributor slip rings to valve stackers and assorted scrap metal. A comprehensive and detailed list will be provided to all parties who apply and are successfully shortlisted, offering a full view of the available materials.
Prospective bidders, who have until 21st November 2025 to reach out, must demonstrate both formal qualifications and a proven track record. Essential requirements include being duly registered and holding a valid scrap metal dealer’s license in full compliance with the law.
Furthermore, companies are expected to provide evidence of their experience in handling, transporting, and disposing of such materials responsibly, with a firm commitment to environmental stewardship.
To validate their eligibility, interested parties must submit a comprehensive package including an application letter, company profile, and all necessary legal documents such as certificates of incorporation, tax compliance, and proof of adherence to environmental and waste disposal regulations.
This process ensures that the disposal of these substantial assets is managed professionally and sustainably by a trusted partner.
