352 bright students from vulnerable households joining high school this year are set to benefit from Sh90 million scholarship funding through the “Tufuzu na Elimu” programme by The Family Group Foundation.
The scholarships, to students from 34 counties and 66 constituencies will cater for full tuition fees, school uniform and boarding fees. The beneficiaries will also receive soft-skills training through annual mentorship workshops and academic boot camps.
“Over the last 12 years, we have been intentional in ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education for all by impacting the very society we operate in. We have impacted more than 1200 beneficiaries countrywide and invested over Sh300 million in the education sector,” said Family Bank CEO designate Nancy Njau said during the 2024 commissioning of the Sh 90 million high school scholarship prorgamme.
The event was attended by the Ministry of Education Director General Elyas Abdi Jillaow, Family Bank Chairman Dr. Wilfred Kiboro, and The Family Group Foundation Board Chairman Dr. Francis Muraya and Board Directors Muema Muindi and Annie Muya.
