Safaricom has confirmed that it is experiencing a recurring service intermittency affecting some PayBill payments.
This has left a majority of its customers concerned as it comes barely two weeks after MPesa suffered downtime for hours thereby inconveniencing customers.
It says in a statement that the issue is “under resolution” by its technical team.
“The technical issue has since been resolved and we continue to monitor the services closely. We apologise for any inconvenience that this disruption may have caused,” Safaricom said.

It appeared like a normal issue to those who tried to make payments to Kenya Power and do bank-to-mobile transactions until Safaricom confirmed on Monday evening that there was a technical problem.
“All M-Pesa services are now available. We apologise for any inconvenience caused, and thank you for your patience as we worked to restore services,” it said.
