M-Pesa, Safaricom, Equity top list of brands loved by Kenyan women

M-Pesa, Safaricom and Equity Bank have been ranked as the top most loved brands by women in Kenya in 2024, as per the fourth edition of The Top 100 Most Loved Brands by Women in Kenya report.

M-Pesa, Safaricom and Equity Bank have been ranked as the top most loved brands by women in Kenya in 2024, as per the fourth edition of The Top 100 Most Loved Brands by Women in Kenya report.

The study, which paints a bigger picture of how Kenyan woman influence purchasing decisions within household, also listed Samsung, Ajab flour, Naivas and Airtel as other to brands.

“As we navigate a very volatile market environment, those who invest in this data will be able to access insights that provide a strengthened competitive advantage, reputational equity and opportunity for innovations and disruption,” said Eva Muraya, BSD Group founder and chief executive.

Ms Muraya added that businesses should not ignore the purchasing power of women due to their role as key decision-makers in most households.

This year, big brands that include Apple made it to the list, signalling a shift in consumer choices and brand preference when compared to 2023’s ranking.
