Diamond Trust Bank (DTB) Kenya has partnered with Network International, a digital commerce company, to provide a sound processing platform for hosting and issuing of cards in support of the bank’s efforts in their exciting phase of digital product innovation and expansion.

According to Jamie Loden, Chief Operating Officer at DTB, the partnership marks a significant milestone in the bank’s efforts to expand its capabilities and elevate its services in a rapidly evolving digital environment.

“It complements our desire to facilitate the inclusion of more citizens in the formal financial system. As the demand for digital payment solutions continues to rise in Kenya, fueled by increasing internet penetration and mobile phone usage, DTB recognizes the importance of enhancing its digital capabilities to better serve its customers.

Through this collaboration, DTB aims to leverage Network International’s expertise and cutting-edge technology to drive its digital-first strategy and expand its digital product offerings in the Kenyan market. The lender will also have access to a host of value-added services that are designed to enhance the overall customer experience. These services encompass tailored solutions for card fraud prevention, secure authentication processes, and customizable card control features, ensuring that DTB customers can transact with confidence and peace of mind.

Dr. Reda Helal, who is the Group managing director – processing, Africa and co-head Group Processing at Network International, said the partnership meets the rising interest among the emerging middle class, youth and SME market segments, and especially the unbanked, for services that support a digital lifestyle and enable financial inclusion.

“We welcome the opportunity to support Diamond Trust Bank’s passion for providing best-in-class digital and card customer experiences by enabling innovation and enhanced operational efficiency, as well as broaden our contributions to the success of Diamond Trust Bank’s digital product innovation and expansion,” Dr. Helal said.
