In today’s world, technology is not just an add-on, it is interwoven into the fabric of our daily lives, and in the midst of this digital revolution, Samsung’s smart fridges emerge as an embodiment of how technology can redefine even the most ordinary of tasks, like grabbing a snack from the fridge.

The fridges are not just like any other appliances, but a testament to how the company is reshaping the (very) concept of home living. The real magic for customers lies in how they use it. From keeping track of your food inventory to helping you cook delicious meals, there’s something for everyone. Here are a few top tricks on how to get the most out of your Samsung smart fridge:

The Nairobi Law Monthly September Edition

1.   Utilize the Family Hub: The centerpiece of Samsung’s Smart Fridge is the Family Hub touchscreen. Users can use it to sync family calendars, leave notes for loved ones, or even mirror content from your Samsung smart TV or smartphone. It allows you to see what is inside your fridge without opening the door, and it also makes it easy to keep track of your food inventory.

2.   Maximize Bixby’s Potential: Your fridge is voice-enabled with Bixby, Samsung’s voice assistant. Ask Bixby for recipe suggestions based on the ingredients in your fridge or set reminders for grocery shopping. For example, users can say “Bixby, find a recipe for chicken stir-fry,” and Bixby will show you a list of recipes on the Family Hub display.

3.   Take Advantage of Cameras Inside: Use the built-in cameras to view the contents of your fridge from your smartphone while you are at the grocery store. The View Inside camera is a great way to check what is in your fridge while you are at the grocery store or on vacation. Simply open the SmartThings app on your smartphone or tablet, and you will be able to see a live view of the inside of your fridge. This way, you can make sure you don’t buy anything you already have at home.

4.   Use the SmartThings app to connect your fridge to other smart devices in your home: The SmartThings app allows you to connect your Samsung smart fridge to other smart devices in your home, such as your lights, thermostat, and doorbell. This way, you can control all of your smart devices from one app. For example, you can create a routine that turns off the lights and locks the doors when you leave for work.

5.   Stay Updated with Morning Brief: Set up your fridge to provide a morning brief. When you walk up to your fridge each morning, it can give you a rundown of your calendar for the day, the current weather, and even news updates.

6.   Use it as an Entertainment Center: With built-in speakers and apps like Spotify and TuneIn, you can play music or listen to your favorite podcasts while cooking.

7.   Optimize Energy Efficiency: The SmartThings app allows you to monitor your Samsung smart fridge’s performance. Dive into the settings to activate energy-saving modes which will help you save on electricity while still maintaining optimal performance. You can see how much energy it’s using and check the temperature inside the fridge. You can also receive alerts if there’s a problem with your fridge, such as a power outage or a door that has been left open.

In conclusion, a smart fridge is a revolution in kitchen technology as it offers numerous features that make life simpler, more organized, and a bit more fun. By harnessing the tips and tricks mentioned above, you can ensure that you are getting the maximum value and enjoyment out of your investment.
