Listed company Car and General has entered into a partnership with KPMG, Advisory Services Limited to establish an integrity line system with the aim of promoting transparency between the company’s employees and customers.

The hotline will encourage the company employees to speak up and report issues about misconduct, or practice that is contrary to the organization’s values and way of working.

The agreement was reached and signed by the Car and General CEO, Vijay Gidoomal and KPMG Associate Director, Mark Bunyi.

Through the partnership, KPMG will provide core services of handling all aspects of the day to day operation of the company’s hotline and assist with awareness training for staff in the region.

The company’s employees, customers and other stakeholders can air issues of concern including harassment, nepotism, bribery, corruption and misconduct with a guarantee of anonymity.

“There will be no harassment, victimization or retaliation against any employee who raises any concerns in good faith,” Bunyi assured.

Vijay Gidoomal said that the hotline is a great opportunity for the employees and the organization to be proactive and address any issue that needs attention.

“This is a great milestone that will ensure the right processes and controls are upheld for the benefit of the organization,” he added.
