Kenya is preparing to host the prestigious World Health Conference and Expo, organized by Informa Markets, in October 2025. The event, taking place in Nairobi, marks the first time such a large-scale global healthcare expo will be held in the region. This groundbreaking conference is expected to highlight Kenya’s progress in healthcare innovation, medical technology, and investment opportunities within the healthcare sector.

As the world faces shifting disease patterns and technological advancements, the conference aims to bring together experts from commercial, academic, and professional fields to foster knowledge exchange, forge partnerships, and attract investments that will drive healthcare transformation in Kenya and across Africa.

The event is particularly significant as it supports Kenya’s Universal Health Coverage agenda, a central element of the country’s healthcare strategy.

By hosting this global expo, Kenya is strengthening its position as a leader in healthcare innovation and investment in Africa. The conference will serve as a platform for local and international stakeholders to network, collaborate, and explore opportunities that could shape the future of healthcare in the region.

It also highlights Kenya’s growing role as a regional healthcare hub, capable of attracting global attention and driving meaningful advancements.

In preparation for the event, Mary Muthoni, Principal Secretary for Public Health and Professional Standards, recently met with Tom Coleman, Portfolio Director at Informa Markets, to discuss the shared vision for the conference and its potential to position Kenya as a key player in global healthcare.

As the countdown to October 2025 begins, Kenya eagerly anticipates the arrival of health leaders, innovators, and investors from around the world. This event promises not only to showcase the country’s progress but also to catalyze further advancements in its healthcare transformation journey.
