China and Africa have consistently demonstrated far-sighted vision, finding new common ground and growth drivers at critical junctures. Both are at crucial stages in their development, presenting new historical opportunities for cooperation.

China is focused on achieving its Second Centenary Goal of building a great modern socialist country and advancing national rejuvenation.

The third plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China emphasized deepening reform to open broad prospects for modernization, which benefits all developing countries.

Africa is rapidly moving towards the goals of Agenda 2063, striving for peace, unity, prosperity, and strength. African nations are exploring development paths suited to their conditions with a strong resolve to shape their own future, showing promise as they pursue modernization.

China and Africa’s complementarity has become more evident, with their cooperation marked by higher quality and greater impact. China supports Africa’s manufacturing growth, economic diversification, agricultural development, and talent cultivation.

China and Africa are enhancing economic and trade ties and integrating their development efforts to support modernization.

Together, China and Africa are promoting a just international order, safeguarding global peace, and building an inclusive world economy. They aim to create a favorable environment for their development visions and contribute to global modernization and a better future for humanity.

Chinese modernization, as a new model, challenges the notion that modernization equals Westernization. African countries value Chinese development insights and are exploring their own paths.

Both regions draw wisdom from their ancient civilizations, strengthen governance exchanges, and deepen mutual learning to promote shared development and prosperity.

African countries increasingly seek governance experience from China, which offers practical support, including seminars on Chinese modernization, poverty alleviation, and sustainable development.

The theme of the 2024 FOCAC Summit—Joining Hands to Advance Modernization and Build a High-Level China-Africa Community with a Shared Future—reflects current trends and aspirations.

China and Africa will continue as partners in modernization, advocating for an equitable multipolar world and inclusive economic globalization, contributing to global modernization and building a shared future for humanity.
